2.
John Johnson 01:13
My name is John Johnson I come from Jackson Mississippi Moved to New Jersey, just last June Every morning I jog and do some jumping jacks I juggle really fast And then I eat some Jell-O & drink orange juice

Flip Flop 03:26
The sun is out, it’s heating up real hot My feet would get so sweaty if they were stuck in socks I know just what I can where so I can take a walk I’ll wear flip flops – flip flop, flip flop Flip flop – flip flop – flip flop … FLIP When I – walk I – sound like … THIS When I – walk I – move my … HIPS If there was – a puddle – I’d splash … IT If there was – some ice – I might … SLIP If I had – some lemonade – I’d take … a SIP If I had – a carrot – I’d want … some DIP If I had – some salsa – I’d want … a CHIP When I – run I – sound like … THIS flipflopflipflop… I like the way the breeze blows in-between my toes I like to walk down the very path that I chose Hard on the bottom and open on the top Are my flip flops – flip flop, flip flop I like the way they sound a-slapping on my feet I like the way I feel as I stroll down the street Those cars have got a red light, that means they’ve got to stop For my flip flops – flip flop, flip flop Some people that I see are wearing tennis shoes Some people that I see are wearing great big boots Their faces look so sad ‘cause they wish that they could rock Some sick flip flops – flip flop, flip flop You know, I notice cats and dogs wear nothing on their paws In fact they don’t wear anything and they don’t break no laws I wish I was as lucky! But who’s to say I’m not?? I’ve got flip flops! Flip flop, flip flop
4.
One evening as the sun went down and bedtimes fast approaching Down the street came a kid a-walking Said: Folks should be knowing I’m headed to a land not far away, where nobody is frowning So come with me, let's go and see, the big rock candy mountain On the big rock candy mountain – there’s a land that’s fair and bright It’s easy to get out of bed and things turn out alright There’s time for everyone to play – and sunshine every day There's a little bit of rain – to cool the brain But it doesn’t last long – so you can’t complain On the big rock candy mountain On the big rock candy mountain – you never change your socks And little streams of apple juice come trickling down the rocks Meatball trees grow big and strong – and if you eat ‘em so will you There’s a lake of stew and chocolate milk too You can paddle all around it in a big canoe At the big rock candy mountain On the big rock candy mountain there’s no such thing as work We share the things that must be done, that way it doesn’t hurt And you can find a secret corner where you can make the rules Stay up all night, if that feels right Find good friends, anytime you like At the big rock candy mountain
5.
Hallelujah I’m a kid, hallelujah kid again Even when I get old, well I’ll still pretend Well, I’m just a kid, been one my whole life Considering my options it’s pretty alright I open my eyes & get out of bed And what do you know, dad’s made breakfast again I go to the park & sit on the swings I give out a shout & I start to sing When I’m an adult with so much to do I will wish I was back in preschool All sorts of grownups are so serious Must be exhausting to make such a fuss Parents & teachers they think they’re so smart Their brains ain’t no different but what ‘bout their hearts? Yes there are some shelves which I cannot reach But at least I’m still growing; you’re big as you’ll be In fact…I’m not so sure that grown-ups are grown They’re nothing special, just out on their own
6.
I brought my ukulele on the bus sat in the back, started to strum the driver turned around to me and said “Hey! Put that Away!” “You can’t do that on the bus!” Why does no one want to hear me play my ukulele I took my ukulele on the train started to play, started to sing all the other people on the train got off at the next stop Why does no one want to hear me play my ukulele I played my ukulele in the park there were people walking dogs, the dogs began to bark Why does no one want to hear me play my ukulele I played my ukulele for my grandma I sang some lovely songs, I played a pretty tune when it was through she had a smile on I said how’d you like it? she said: “What? Did you say something?" Why does no one want to hear me play my ukulele No one wants to hear my play, my ukulele I guess I’ll just do - what I suppose the whole world wants me to (I get the message) I’ll buy a tuba.

In the evening, the night before I couldn’t wait, not one day more The end of the old year, brings the new And I’d like to celebrate with you Rhia get your fiddle out and rosin up your bow Helen tune your banjo up we’re gonna have a show Peter pass the jug around to Corporal McCoy We’re gonna have a tune called New Year’s Joy I stayed up until midnight Lookin’ at Boston shinin’ bright Countdown came & big crowd cheered Before we knew it, the new year’s here Early in the morning in January With my friends & it ain’t so scary The sun is out, the air is clear It’s fixin' to be one heck of a year It’s a new day, it needs a new song I can play, won’t take long you can dance, if you want We can sing, the old year’s gone! First the new year, then the spring Always something new to sing Rain brings flowers, and pretty soon Turn around and find it’s June It’s new for the birds, new for the trees New for the dirt, new for the bees New for you, new for me A little bit of newness is all we need

The monkey started a company She didn’t do it for the money All the people had frowns when they worked in the city So she taught them how to dance real silly She noticed that there was a need So the monkey started a company She had her wild expertise On how to eat bugs and jump in trees She wrote a best-selling self-help book On how to get goofy when you flap your foot And how to make your stress go live on the moon And how to make one heck of a mess in your room The monkey published a recipe in the Boston Globe For a banana split that can fix your soul The secret ingredient was extra bananas 5-star reviews from all the grandmas The monkey made a monetized youtube channel Where she demonstrated how to shake a rattle And she showed off how loud she could shout She made everybody turn the volume down The monkey started a company She didn’t do it for the money All the people had frowns when they worked in the city So she taught them how to dance real silly

I want to go sledding down the neighborhood hill It’s just a couple blocks from my windowsill I want to go sledding I want to go fast 'Cause you never know how long the snow is gonna last Went to bed last night No snow in sight Woke up this morning Everything turned white Streets covered in snow Layer after layer Whole town’s shut down Nobody’s going anywhere (except for me) 'Cause I want to go sledding down the neighborhood hill It’s just a couple blocks from my windowsill I want to go sledding I want to go fast 'Cause you never know how long the snow is gonna last I'm walking to the sledding hill Wait, where is the sledding hill? I been walking for a long time I think I took a wrong turn Wish I had some popcorn...anyway I want to go sledding down the neighborhood hill It’s just a couple blocks from my windowsill I want to go sledding I want to go fast Cause you never know how long the snow is gonna last

When I throw the ball, you better catch it Get yourself ready, ‘cause I’m gonna pitch it If your arm’s feeling stiff, you better stretch it 'Cause when I throw the ball, you better catch it When I throw the ball, you better hit it Swing your bat & try not to miss it Just for good luck, hold your bat up & kiss it 'Cause when I throw the ball, you better hit it Now throw the ball back, it’s my turn to catch it When you’re part of a team, you’re part of the action We go back and forth, it’s almost like magic So throw the ball back, it’s my turn to catch it When I pass the ball, you try kick it There’s cleats on your feet & I hope your foot fits it If you miss the goal, no need to quit it (don’t sweat it) Just when I pass the ball, you try to kick it When I throw the ball, you better catch it Get yourself ready, ‘cause I’m gonna pitch it If you’ve got an itch, you better not scratch it Cause when I throw the ball, you better catch it

Oh my darling, oh my darling, oh my darling clementine You are lost and gone forever, dreadful sorry clementine In a cavern, in a canyon, excavating for a mine Dwelt a miner, 49-er, with her snack: a clementine Orange it was and sweet inside and covered in a bitter rind She could toss it, till she dropped it, then she lost it, clementine From the cavern, from the canyon, it rolled right out of the mine And behind it ran the miner looking for her clementine Where’d it go now? Where’d it roll? How can it be so hard to find? With my heart torn, searching all morn’, for my small orange clementine It rolled to Boston, then got lost in all the traffic on route 9 Giant tires, looking dire, for that minor clementine Heard my stomach start to rumble, it was long past snacking time Getting desperate for some respite, where oh where’s that clementine Nearing lunch time, might give up I’ll sit under this tree for cryin’ Looking up, hey that looks just like, my poor wayward clementine! It’s an orange tree! It’s an orange tree! Who’d believe this luck of mine No more running, time for somethin’ yummy like my clementine How I missed this, How I missed this, how I missed my clementine ‘Til I bit this other citrus now forget that clementine

I like to lick limes I like licking limes! In the rain & in the sunshine With my friends online Just open up that bright green rind I like licking limes! Might not be the healthiest habit But it ain’t too bad either And you would have a hard time To find anything easier! Yesterday I licked 5 limes And I had a vision I think I learned a lesson That if I like licking limes I bet I’d like licking lemons I like to lick lemons I like licking lemons Tastes a bit like heaven You can lay down all your weapons Unite with all your brethren And lick a bunch of lemons Today I licked 7 lemons And I had a vision And my mind was blown I like licking lemons and limes so.... I might like to lick jalapenos! I like to lick jalapenos I like licking jalapenos Feel it in my throat Feel it in my nose Maybe I’ll explode Maybe I’ll lick one more I like to lick jalapenos! I like to lick lemons! I like to lick limes! In the kitchen I have a great time!

My turkey lies over the table My turkey is way over there My turkey lies over the table Oh why won’t my family share Please pass, please pass Please pass the turkey to me, to me I put on my nicest clothes I’ve been helping you cook all day I’ve been so polite and so patient So why’s the turkey still so far away? Please pass, please pass Please pass the turkey to me, to me Tonight as I lie on my pillow And the leftovers sleep in the fridge I’ll dream of the feasts of tomorrow I smile and lick my lips Please pass, please pass Please pass the turkey to me, to me

I notice that my clothes are made out of string And that makes sense, they're soft But clothes I suppose could be wove from anything If you think outside the box I could have spaghetti clothes! Clothes made from spaghetti, Even when I'm lazy, lunch is already ready In spaghetti clothes. I'm bored of these clothes made of cords of cotton string Fabric and buttons and cloth 'Cause clothes I suppose could be wove from anything If you think outside the box I could have paper clothes, Clothes made from paper Out in the woods, I'd feel connected with nature I could have orange peel clothes, Clothes made of orange peel On a sunny day, they'd have such a cool feel I'm bored of these clothes made of cords of cotton string Fabric and buttons and cloth 'Cause clothes I suppose could be wove from anything If you think outside the box

Our mansion has a million rooms You’ll never see them all None of ‘em are like any other of ‘em You could spend your whole life discovering another And another And another And another Room number 9 has a trampoline for a floor It's a good room to go to when you just don't want to sit down no more 'Cause you can jump! But none of 'em are like any other of 'em You could spend your whole life discover another And another And another... Room number 212 is just full of chocolate milk And a diving board 30ft up that you can try out yourself You can splash, you can play, you can swim Our mansion has a million rooms You’ll never see them all None of ‘em are like any other of ‘em You could spend your whole life discovering another And another And another And another...

Oh the city is great, the city is grand There are lots of tall buildings On a little piece of land And we live way up on the 57th floor And this is what we do when we get to the door We take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down And we turn around. Then I go to the park and I sit by the pond I look at the ducks and I look at the swans When it’s time to go home to the 57th floor This is what we do when we get to the door We take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down And I turn around. I like to take the bus to the center of the city And the library, oh my is it pretty I could stay all day, & still wanna stay some more But it’s time to go home to the 57th floor Where I'll take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down We take the elevator up take the elevator down And I turn around. Sometimes I ride my bike to the art museum I love the paintings & the pictures & the statues in ‘em Seen a portrait of a woman in a boat by the shore Then it’s time to go home to the 57th floor Take the elevator up take the elevator down Take the elevator up take the elevator down Take the elevator up take the elevator down And we turn around. And if I'm running late I take the express... And if I'm running really really late, I take the double express... And when I’m lying in my bed at the end of the day And I think of all the love that has come my way The covers all around me keep me cozy and warm And I’m glad I live on the 57th floor And then my eyelids go up and my eyelids go down And my mouth hangs open in a big ol’ yawn My eyelids go up, and my eyelids go down...
